ELICOS General English

Oakhill English School's English Language Intensive Courses for International Students (ELICOS) General English program is perfect for students beginning to learn English. Students will develop reading, writing, speaking and listening skills for everyday use.

EAP

English for Academic Purposes (EAP) is aimed at developing students' English skills for academic studies. EAP introduces students to paragraph and essay writing skills, research and oral presentation skills. Course content levels range from intermediate to advanced.

PTE-A

Pearson Test of English Academic (PTE-A) training is designed to train students' to sit PTE-A, a computer-based test of English language proficiency. PTE-A is accepted by several Australian universities, professional associations and Australian government departments.

IELTS

This ten-week IELTS course focuses on developing students' language skills to sit the IELTS test. Students develop skills in each module of the IELTS test which include listening, speaking, reading and writing. Our comprehensive classes are tailored to improve your test skills.

Computer Labs

Both Oakhill English School's Melbourne and Hobart campuses have computer labs for all students, as well as a lab dedicated to Information Technology students. Students can use the computer labs to research course materials, complete assessments or any personal work. Photocopying and printing facilities are also available.

Student Lounges

Oakhill English School understands that recreation is important for health, mental wellbeing and individual development. Students can take time out from studies and rejuvenate in our student lounges at both our Melbourne and Hobart student lounges. Oakhill English School's computer labs as well as our Student Library & Resource Centre, offer students free Wi-Fi, a wide range of textbooks, magazines, periodicals, newspapers, self-paced learning CDs and DVDs, as well as printing and photocopying facilities.

Excursions

Getting out of the classroom gaining hands-on, practical experience is key to student learning at Oakhill English School. Class excursions provide students with the opportunity to travel to museums, natural wonders, nature parks and other tourist attractions. Students' language learning is accelorated by interacting with locals as well as people from all over the world. Excursions are fun, and provide students with the opportunity to put their English speaking and comprehension skills to practical use.
